The Write Legacy, caters to the faith-based writer. What is that exactly? A faith-based writer is one who has been given the assignment of revealing the heart of God on a certain subject(s) through the gift of writing. This writer has been saved by grace through faith purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6) Therefore, this writer not only writes by faith but lives, speaks and walks by faith. They are submitted to God and write as led by Holy Spirit. The faith-based writer has the mind of Christ and works as a co-laborer with Him. They write in multiple genres and uphold the integrity of the word and character of Christ.
Faith-based writers are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God in the earth. Faith is something that requires action, it’s not something that stands still. The word of God says that faith without works is dead, (James 2:14); writing is a work of faith when you have been assigned by the Lord. Faith-based writers write what they see the Lord do and what they hear Him say. The word of God is written on the tables of their heart and is bound to their fingers. (Proverbs 7:3)
Have you been sitting on your assignment with your hands behind your back? Now is the time to pick up your pen and pull out your computer. By faith press into the presence of Holy Spirit and allow Him to flow through you. Here is a prayer that I recently shared on our Facebook page:
A Writer’s Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your presence as I sit here to write what You have impressed upon my heart. In this moment, I submit to Your Spirit and authority. I die to myself so that You can flow in me and through me. Guide my fingers and thoughts as I release Your words. I am Your willing vessel. Lord, I renounce the spirit of fear and I receive holy boldness to complete this assignment. Have Your way oh Lord and let Your will be done in my writing that those that You have assigned to my voice receive exactly what You have for them. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!
Now go and fulfill your assignment, there are people waiting on you.
